gold/metalic/graphite shouldn't be painted? now you dont actually think that is the natural color of the wheel do you? they're already painted.
Yeah, actually I do. In most cases rims are either polished, or electro-plated metal. Thats not painting. I do occasionally see metal flake painted rims that are meant to look metal, but its obvious its paint, and again I said "gold/metalic/graphite SHOULDN'T be painted", I never claimed that it doesn't happen.

but lets face it some wheels dont come from the factory with every color option available. so what if you want a wheel that only comes in a silver or chrome finish? silver or chrome may not look good on your car. so your best bet would be to get the wheels painted or powdercoated in the finish that looks best on your car.
lets say you want a a wheel that comes in a polished finish, but has no other finishes. painted or powdercoated spokes with a polished lip is a choice that many wheel manufacturers are offering on some wheels. but its not an option on every wheel.
All painting or powdercoating a wheel does is bridge the gap between a wheel offered in two finished and a wheel offered in any finish you want.
Ya. Like I said if you WANT to drive Barbie's Dream car, with plastic rims, go right ahead.

and as far as black rubber on tires goes, whitewalls and redlines are not all black.
Where did I say that a tire has to be ALL black?
