XM radio thru changer input on CD?

Hi guys!

I spent the better part of today searching the internet for some info on this, but came up with nothing. I'm trying to find out if it's possible to hardwire a satellite receiver, to the CD changer input on a USA SPEC CD player, that I added to my wife's 1999 Honda CRV factory head unit. The CD player connects into the head unit with a 14pin plug. There is also an 8pin input on the CD player, meant for a changer. I also have a cable that I can attatch to the 8pin jack. This is what I'd connect the XM receiver to. However, I have no idea if it would even work without some kind of interface unit. Also, I can't find any pinout info on the CD player, so I can't identify the 8 wires. Just trying to get as much info as I can before I spend an entire day outside in the 20 degree weather with my toolbox and voltmeter, tearing apart her car and trying to trial-and-error it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Rob
