You didn't explain until after my post that it was about a friend of yours. It wasn't clear to me, despite your Acura/Nissan allegory, what effect "car discrimination" was going to have on you.
Seriously, if your friend is going to sweat over what make car you own, not even necesarily drive, since you still have the G20, you should tell that friend to take a flying leap.
