Boost gauge, Red wire where?

I didn't want to admit in the title that the brand of gauge is Greddy... mmm rice...

It's an electronic gauge, and I'm at the point of wiring it to electrical stuff. Instead of there being two wires to a bulb with a mechanical gauge, like the vdo/autometer gauges covered by rre/vfaq, I have five wires- Red (12v), Black (Ground), Orange (Ignition), White (Lights), and Yellow (Accessory). I don't have a turbo timer to splice into. I think the yellow wire is optional.

If I hook stuff up to the dimmer switch, I'm going to have (I think) more of an electrical load than a small lightbulb, like some other gauges. Since I don't know if that's a good idea, I've been thinking about the cig lighter. Do I attach the red/orange/white wires all to the center wire of the cig lighter? One of the vfaq writeups, prostreet, seems to have a similar gauge, but I don't know where the fucking red wire is supposed to go if I follow the rest of their instruction.

Is the color coding of the Greddy wires universal? I mean, can I put my red wire with any red wire, etc.? I read about using the fuse box. Which wire goes there?

Thanks
