Shock Question?
I have the higher in Gabrial LT Shocks. The best (or better) ones are painted white. Anyway, what would cause the lower part of the shock to separate from the rubber bushing?
The design is such that a steal bushing, which the bold goes through, is aobut 2-1/4", and the rubber bushing is about 1-1/4". This leaves 1/2" of space on either side. However, if the shock separates from the rubber part it can slide to one end and not work properly...and/or make noise.
What would cause this? I'm not the origional owner, but my guess is that it was either driven on a lot of dirt roads in TX (ranches) or Mexico. Or you all can tell me that Gabrial Shocks have a known problem of separating. Just curious....
