there is no substitute for slipping a 4 or 8 guage wire through your firewall (there's a rubber grommet somewhere there- look for it) and running this wire behind your dash- pull up the door sills and pulling up the carpet and running the wire along the side or if you can- under the seat. as you move to the rear- you might have to punch a tiny hole in the metal that supports the rear seat bottom so that the wire can pass towards the trunk w/o being noticed under the carpet...
as far as the ground goes... you'll want to just scrape the paint off of a metal area in your trunk (preferably somewhere where you won't see or damage it) and drill in a screw and ground your system there... i think mine is grounded in the spare tire compartment.

oh wait- there is a substitute for that- just take the wire- and slip it up along to the corner of the hood where it meets the windshield and run the wire on the outside of the car on top of the roof to the trunk.
