I wanted a top-of-the-line quality engine. the total tally was $12000.00! yup 12 grand, next I figured I just use regular stock parts and built a block that wont blow up but not with the latest and greatest, $8000.00 including labor! for that bro just buy the 6G72TT and be done with it, I think the engine costs like $2500.00 and the turbos will probably run you another grand. I'm not sure I gave up on the idea a while back.

$8000, holy s***!!!!!
yeah but it seems that he already has the turbos but now he wants to run 15psi.
to rebuild his engine into TT spec with upgraded main parts would be about the same as buying a TT motor for $2500.
pistons - wiesco's run $600
rods- (not needed) Eagle H-Beams with ARP bolts run $450
bolts and studs - ARP's run like $50
engine rebuild with new bottom end parts - $500
total: $1600 give or take depending on how much the machine shop charges you...
while the machine shop is rebuilding the bottom end they can install the oil squirters, hone your exhaust manifolds and upper plenum for a little extra cash...
then you can still be under your $2500 by getting your heads rebuilt with OEM parts. i dont know how much cams run for the 3000gt...
there you got yourself a brand new virtually indestructible engine ready for you to max out your turbos!!! this is all if you alreayd ahve a TT setup on your SL. if you dont, look to be adding the turbos cost along with alot of extra necessary stuff.
like i said, it all depends on how much money your willing to spend.
