Thanks for the tip. I have a frozen puddle in the back floor now so I won't be worrying too much about mildew til spring (plus no heater anyway). I tried some adhesive stripping as well to no avail. The seals are pretty shot. The metal parts are all rusted and flaking. I'll give that black silicone a try.
