from 96 and on dodge does not use real fuel filters. they have a "sock" like device over the fuel pump that prevents large chunks of crud from getting sucked up and pumped into your motor. you can buy a replacement "sock" but its very rare for these to get fully clogged.
if you ask me, its the dumbest thing ever. i ran into a fuel issue in my srt4, and dodge was forced to replace my injectors because they were cloggged. if they had installed a filter, my injectors would have never had to be replaced. i will be actually installing a filter one of these days.
