I wouldnt call it suicide. Doors are called suicide because if your lateches F up the doors fly off (not that that would happen, but hey we are imagining here) a hood that opens like that would actually be safer. the air flow over the hood would keep the hood down instead of making it pop up like conventional hoods would.
but anyway, i personally like the old split hoods that the old dodges and Infinity trucks had.
