Do these first, they are cheap and easy to do (if it is not cold outside and the rubber is less flexible). My clunk was diagnosed as stut bearings, and $550 (new struts, bearings and sway bar link ends) later I still had the clunk. New bushings (the ones on the body) did the trick. This was on a 2002.
