i know your problem.
What you do is take out the idle air control valve in your throttle body and clean out where it goes in. I mean into your throttle body. it will be full of black crap. the best way is to remove the throttle body but takes about an hour. This will fix the problem. 100% i have done it several of times to grand ams. always fixes it. when you start up from cold the rpm gos up and down then whenn you hit the gas a little it revs up to 2000 stays there for a couple of seconds then falls back down and continues to idle rough.. if that is your problem that is the solution
