I have the neuspeed short shifter on my 4th gen. It's nice, being that there isn't a true shoft shifter to put in. The only problem is that it hits the front part of the console around the shift boot. When you take the console off to put the adapter in, do yourself a favor and use a dremel tool or something to notch out as much of the console as you can. I didn't do this at first and it ended up cracking. Once you take care of that though, it's a nice little feature.

Didn't read the instructions, did you? One of the first steps in the instructions says to trim the console right where your talking about.
