Hey man, well the maf sensor i'm talking about can basically be replaced very easily. There are only 2 screws keeping the entire body of the sensor (which has the sensor already built in) in the aluminum housing. So yeah all you have to do is take out the body (with sensor) out, and drop in a new one.

Thanks though, i found a place, www.directauto.com, which sells the entire sensor for under $50, and its brand new.
