This just happened to my 89 Bonneville, to both rear doors and the front passenger, all within weeks of each other. Pulling the interior door panels off while the doors are still locked was no fun, but it is doable. If you need assistance in the technique that I figured out, please reply. I discovered that the door push button would not release completely, which is required for you to be able to unlock the door. The bottun came back out completely but the linkage would not. I disconnected the linkage from the lock assembly, locked and unlocked the door and it was able to be opened from the inside. The problem was the 'rocker' assembly at the end of the push botton that is connected to the linkage. It was very tight with the metal assembly slightly tarnished and not moving freely in the plastic housing. I sprayed silicone on the assembly and worked it back and forth till it moved freely. I had taken the door handle off completely to work this free. I put everything back together and the door works fine. The back doors had the same problem, and opened the same way. After spraying with silicone and reconnecting the linakge all doors are fine. If you need details on exactly where the linages are, or how to get to them please respond. I have a few scraped fingers from figuring this out by trial and error, and several hours of frustration. Good luck!
