My guess is it needs new spark plugs. Chugging and loosing power under load is a sign of old worn plugs.
If it has over 60,000 miles, new wires would help too.

I took the cowlling off to listen for a misidle. The engine ran persistant without any hesitation until under load. Now, I'm starting to think it might be something electrical or even a vacuum problem.
I have no idea. Anyone have anything new?
