Guys do not ever put tap water in your car! Never!
Tap water contains chlorine and that will damage your cooling system. Don't even use it to flush the system.
And yes I was going to say water pump but I am too late lol.
It would not have been the Thernostat because the thermostats in our cars are designed to fail in the open position. just FYI
