Bear with me, I'm just the wife...I hope I'm posting this in the right spot...my husband needs to install a new O2 sensor in my 92 Prelude. He's never installed one in a Prelude, and is having a little trouble locating it (the sensor, not the Prelude).
We asked someone else for help, and they said it should be on the exhaust manifold (on the heat shield or near the catalytic converter). My husband looked for it, but still couldn't find it. I told the person helping us that it was a heated sensor, and asked if that would makle a difference. He said that it didn't make a difference, all O2 sensors are heated. Then he said, "It should be parallel to the radiator. I guarantee you that it's on there, in one place or another. If he can't see it from on top of the engine, he has to crawl under and check near the catalytic converter." I told him that I didn't think all O2 sensors were heated, since I was specifically asked, "Is it heated or non-heated" when I ordered the part. But who knows, I'm not a mechanic. I'm just wondering if anyone else has some helpful hints or suggestions...please be nice!
