Days late this is what I found out.
The PCV Valve is ok. However, when the engine is running there is a great deal of suction when the pcv valve is removed or the oil cap. So mch so that the engine dies when they are removed. I am not sure if that is normal or not, but I was surprised at the amount of the suction.

Trouble codes PO305, PO430, and PO507 came up. No pending or Freeze codes.
The 305 and 430 have been there in the past.
The 507 is a new one.
I guess my real question is "do I need a new engine or should I spend money trying to fix this one?" It seems like I would be farther ahead to invest in the new engine unless this is a simple fix. What is your more educated opinion?
