Yes I do believe that this can be done. Unfortunately I have no idea how much or who would be able to do it.
The reason that I know it can be done is when I was thinking of turboing my FTO I was told that I would need to convert my car to a manual as the tiptronic gearbox wouldn’t be strong enough to handle the extra power.
