Sounds like the infamous Grand Am LIM (lower intake manifold) gasket issue. If it's your LIM, you have an external LIM leak, so it's just leaking coolant on the outside of your engine. However, the internal LIM leak is notorious - your coolant would get into your oil and given enough time, eat away at the bearings in your engine. There are several areas where the LIM may be leaking, but the most common is the area beneath the throtlle body. Shine a flashlight down there (way down there) and look for pooled coolant or marks from where it ran down.

My guess would be the LIM
