My S-Trim has been on my Mustang for over 8 years. I had the rubber intake pipe slip and hit the blade few months ago, so the blades went through the engine. When I took the supercharger apart, everything was tight, and looked brand new except for the impeller of course.

The only real problem is the added stress on the front main bearing, but if you install a tooth pulley, you will not have to crank on the bearing so much, but then again they are kind of pricey. Go with an 8 rib, a 6 will slip.
