I hope you're talking about your alternator!
(sorry man.. couldn't resist)
From what I've read/seen, bench testing is not all that accurate. Best bet is try to find a new/oem alternator. You need to see ~14VDC across the battery with the truck running (with a quality volt/multi meter).
