if it is plugged in & the fuel pumps not kicking on,
you probably need a new fuel pump,
if it isn't giving any spark,
do a basic tune up,if that dont help,its probably nothing more
then a coil or module
I'd say if the car was in bad shape,it probably needs a fixer upper,
hers a good list:

spark plugs,
spark plug wires,
distributor cap,
rotor button,
oil change,
fuel filter,
obviously a fuel pump,
(maybe: ignition coil,control module,(if bad))
maybe: alternator belt,battery,
all of the things listed above you can get at an autoparts store,
rounded off to about 350.00,unless you junkyarded it or classifieds,
& you'd pretty much be good to go....
