you haven't got a symborsky kit yet!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
OMG!! best 35 bucks i have ever spent! [ok, that lapdance was a bit more fun... but]
first of all GET the symborsky kit. on the base plate of the shifter itself there are 8 rubber bushings. 2 on each corner. there is also a tube that you replace with the same thing with a smaller inner diameter that holds better. you replace them with metal ones. less missed gears and it feels like a more solid shift. either way, definitly worth 40 bucks.
as for the other thing it is under the hood, if you look right below your water hose you will see the linkage fron the shifter to the tranny where the other ones go. same concept, and now that you pointed them out, i'm definitly getting some. for 10 bucks they are worth a whirl
