straight line performance wise..Their pretty much equivalent(5.2s for both).....But i would go with the Mustang because its cheaper and its lighter and...Pontiac in my opinion did a half ass job in reviving the Goat and even the new 05's cant compete with the Stangs....Sure thier faster by .3s but the Mustang is more affordable and with the money left over you can blow the GTO's away
