I replaced mine. Not too hard, but kind of stressful. I mean, you have your hands in gasoline with fumes coming up. I used latex gloves as I always do when working on my car.

Basically, you want to ground the car and then yourself. You have to remove the rear seat bottom to gain access. Getting the cover off was easy, but unscrewing the part that that seals it was a PITA. Might be worth looking into the special tool. Once I figured out how it came out, it was easy.

Pump cost about $160 IIRC.

Oh, and mine didn't make any noise when it went. It showed itself by cutting out some. I thought it was an electrical misfire at first.
