i wouldnt use brake fluid, just incase, id use a proper paint stripper product from your local car store, they will help you there alot too, much better and easier results from the actuall strippers, sanding can also help, remember once you get down to the base metal to fix any minor problems you have gotton like little dents or scratches, just putty them up and sand them off, then can primer the body.
Another option is to pay the small fee and get it sandblasted, i have found it to be cheap once but check around, its a very nice non-chemical option.
Thats all i can remember at the moment and my internet is screwed up so all i can say is have fun and be careful, with any strippers be safe and use a full painters respirator, not just a particulate one (filters the chunky bits).
