What brand is the remote start? I know that pro-start has a web site that makes life a lot easier. You punch in the serial off the remote module and make and year of your vehicle and it will tell you the colour codes of the wires your looking for. you don't have to remove the ignition switch, just follow the harness down, remove the lower dash panel.
