97 cherokee sport semi-stalling problem

my jeep runs fine on my daily commute which is 30mi each way but after driving around two hours it starts acting like it is out of gas but never stalls completely. I am still able to drive it but the longer I drive, the more frequent the problem becomes. I have purchased a fuel pump but am hesitant to put it in because I have read similar posts in which changing the fuel pump and fuel filter did not help. The only successful solutions I have read are to change either the crank shaft position sensor or the throttle position sensor but I have had a diagnostic check done and nothing shows up. It seems that if it were either of those it would show up in that test. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated as I am not looking to waste money by trial and error. Thanks.
