I had the same problem and worse, as if they had a mind of their own. I bought a new wiper board on ebay (about 13$) and installed it myself. Takes about two minutes and a torx driver. It has been a pleasure ever since. Most of the time any problems are traced to the board. My connections also looked ok and the board actaully functioned ok from time to time but I replaced it and it did the trick. Really easy
