Good advice with just a few additions
"Anything from flashing you brake lights, to waving (NO middle fingers) can help to lessen the following officer's tension."
Better is to slow down and put on your four-ways.
"When/if the officer asks you if you know why they pulled you over answer honetly."
You don't want to lie but you don't want to admit to anything either. Most officers now record traffic stops so remember that your words may be played back in court. It pays economically to contest every speeding ticket because of the additional cost of insurance. If the officer has you on tape admitting to driving 120mph it is hard for the judge to cut you any slack.
