First, check the level of your transmission fluid; while the engine is warm and idling, see what the level is. If that's ok, check next to see what the level of your coolant is. That red fluid that you saw around your radiator is one of two things, coolant or transmission fluid. As far as the check engine light, you can check it yourself by turning the key on/off for three times. On the third time look at the check engine light and count how many times it flashes. For example, if it flashes two times pauses for a few seconds, and flashes another four times, you have a code 24. Once you have all your codes, write them down.
