I tried that; pulled the hose off the egr valve and plugged it. Still did the "Cough".
The other option is to pull the gas tank and replace the filter and pump. I hate to do that because I just don't know for sure if that is the problem. It would seem that temperature wouldn't have a thing to do with it and if you running at freeway speeds of 65 or 70 it runs perfectly for hours.
I think I will live with it awhile. Maybe it will get worse and show it's true self. I thought of replacing the wiring, plugs, cap and rotor just because that is the easiest thing to do regarding a tune up. Everything else is either the computer or some smog device that is also a mystery to diagnose.
