Parts of that comment are just plain hating. True, a honda auto tranny is weak and can't handle much power before it starts to slip. If you want to get power your best bet is to have level 10 do a stage 3 build-up of the tranny and swap torque convertors. It is a performance build that can then handle up to 475hp. Of course, most people don't go this route, but it is possible to get power out of an auto honda, it just requires more $$ thanks to this and is a route many do not choose.
You make it sound as if adding anything to an auto tranny car devalues, it but doing the same to a manual tranny one doesn't. Many people I know won't buy ANY CAR with performance stuff added, regardless of the trannmission type. If you are modded a car with mainstream resale value in mind, you are in the wrong hobby. Modding any car will typically bring not much added value from the main customer. The market for a modded car is smaller, and if someone wishes to get more $$ for a modded car, he will typically have a much smaller base of potential customers.
