hey i got a 55 ford f100 so i had the same problem you had, i can give you some websites to check out. one site i like for parts is,
www.blueovaltruckparts.com its a good site im going to order quite a few items for my 55 from there. jegs.com is a good place for engines and other popular parts but not really good for those small parts you cant find. If you are thinking about painting the chasis go with por-15 chasis paint, its expensive but works good i just painted my chasis with it.
www.concoursparts.com is a great site go to it and order a catalog, i ordered one and it has damn near every single part/replacement panel i or you would need. check those sites out, if you need more ideas my aim screen name is jlz1986usmc instant message me if you like.
