Better safe than sorry. (you surely don't want the air bag to pop out when you hit a bump, while driving down the road.) I think you should get it checked out.
You have an ECU back-up fuse. (Check your manual). It will be located in the fuse box, in the engine compartment. With the engine and key off, pull it out. Wait 10 seconds and put it back in. If the light comes back on...you should hook it up to a computer (or if you know how to read the self diag. codes, do that...I think you can read the SRS codes that way) and find out what the code is.
