Re: True Duals on a Silverado ???

Well first off there is no sensor IN the cat..... there is one before AND after on EACH side......4 o2 sensors in all. A true dual system is what i consider i have on mine..... Each side is seperate from the other....... one cat , one muffler on each side. I had my system installed by getting the muffler shop to cut the factory exhaust off just before the "Y" pipe where it is still 2 pipes and had them continue dual the rest of the way. They also installed a balancing tube or blending tube as it is sometimes called because I had an issue of power loss initially after system was installed and they thought that the tube might help, which it did not. Anyways , that is what i call a true dual system, each side is independent from the other, not just a single in , dual out muffler. Oh and by the way I did get the power back eventually, when the computer was able to make the necessary adjustments on it's own (disconnecting the battery did not help)
