PROGRESS: '69 Ford Talladega

Well, you guessed it another "progress" thread from Honoturtle. A few months ago, I started on this by making some coilovers in the front for an experiment. Within the past couple of weeks, I've been actually working on it, and hopefully I'll be able to turn it in for the upcoming AFMOTY contest.

THE KIT: This obviously isn't a very popular kit on the net. I haven't gotton a clue why I bought this kit a few years ago, I suppose it's because it had a 427 in it that I wanted to use for another project. The kit had been basically tossed around, never to be built because of the stripped drivetrain.

PLANS:
Exterior
- Dark red body, black hood, and gunmetal window trim.
- Stripped side markers and rear vents.
- Super Stallion Mustang rims w/ Michelin MXX3 tires.

Interior
- Ferrari F50 seats w/ seat belts.
- Race-like interior (no carpet, rear seats, etc.).
- Full roll-cage.
- New steering wheel, and colum.
- Stick shift.

Drivetrain
- Super Stallion Mustang engine and tranny.
- Oil cooler.

Other
- 4-wheel disc brake system.
- Rear-mounted battery.
- New front coilovers, and lowering.
- Rear needs to be raised.
- Chrome, oval dual exhaust tips.

Now for the pics, the first three are from when I first started.

Last night, I got to mock up the supercharged engine and tranny, required new oil pan and some cutting.

Primered a few minutes ago with Dutch Boy grey primer.
