I don't see why someone would go through all the throuble for a mini-me swap for vtec and use a non-vtec Si ECU with an rpm activated switch. It seems like a rather ghetto way of doing it IMO and from what I understand you don't get the full potential of the vtec (something about not getting enough fuel at high rpm). To read both sides of the story (ie. rpm activated switch and vtec controller or obd1 conversion with proper ecu) read this thread at H-T
