I think any dumbass stupid enough to want to take his airbags removed needs to be shot... Im a firefighter in Washington and ive seen more deaths caused by people not wearing seatblets and turning airbags off (on the passenger side) that its scary... I highly recommend not changing your steering wheel out... Cars made today are meant to crumple up in wrecks and the only reason that the driver survives is usually because they were wearing seatblet and had an airbag...
Dont take it personally... its just that from my experiences its not pretty to see a mangled body lieing half through the windshield of a car on top of the hood.
