well I dont know how acurrate those specs are, I know for sure the IS300 is less weight then the 3000Gt but according to those stats the IS is heavier.......go figure, still my statement is proven that the power to weight ratio is higer on the IS which means it gets to moving faster. see the torque: 3000GT= 205@4500rpm / IS300= 218@3800rpm
no only does the IS have higher torque which is what gets you off the line, but it also produces full power at a lower RPM range. consider the fact that the internals on the IS are lighter then those on the 3000GT....but for arguments sakes lets say they are the same and so both motors rev up at the same rate......well then by the time the IS is prodicing 218 ft pounds of torque the 3000Gt is still reving to get up there, it comes up short as far as power momentum goes. the IS300 is a tight little car man , BOOYAAH!
