sounds very similar to my 95 problem, i posted here a few weeks ago and got a termendous amount of help. everyone was pointing to the solenoids as there is a revised update kit. i pulled the codes and got a 94 gear ratio A. low and behold everyone was right, i replaced the solenoids with the updated kit, filtersbrackets and fluid and had it done a a great tranny shop in town for only 280.00, and thats including tax. they way you describe it it sound like its a solenoid issue. You MUST get the codes and no for yourself what they mean before you take it to a tranny shop or cosider yourself "raped". Get the codes and post them with as much description as possible and id be willin to bet someone will read and no whats going on and point you in the right direction.
