Whoever said you need to take out the throttle body is wrong. You only have to pull of the intake pipe FROM the throttle body simply to get this pipe out of the way to gain access to the stepper underneath it.
Then you will see the stepper motor there. If you just need to test the connections it can be done leaving the stepper installed: just unplug the loom and test the connections with a multimeter as described in http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jaycom/...ne/stepper.htm
Should you need to remove the stepper to do it outside or be a bit comfortable, it's just a question of 2 screws...as I said a couple of minutes jobbie
