Everyone seems to be missing the point. Most cars are pretty good engineered pieces of equipment. Some handle better than others, or are faster, or have this or do that, but the botton line is most are a engineering marvel. Once every so often the engineers come up with a combination that make a car a little bit better and Ford has done that many times. To continue having pissing contasts as which car is faster is a subject that well never end, cause the fastest car today well be sucking hind tit tomarrow. The car manufactures don't want to be losers and want the baddest, fastest best looking car out there, and for us as the consumers, this is great cause we have a choice of anything you could ever dream of. The super cars of yesterday are getting there ass kicked by the supercars of today, as the supercars of today well get there ass kicked by the super cars of tomarrow. And thank God for that, cause we just keep getting better and better cars every year.
They build semi trucks for circle track racing and there fast, but to compare them with a Indy race car is like comparing a school bus to a taxi cab.
When comparing cars you must look at weight, power, skid pad performance, braking ect. ect. You don't have to be a engineer to know that a 3,500 lb car with 300 HP cannot compete with a 2,500 lb car with 250 HP anymore than expecting a standard production car to compete with a 2,400, 750 HP Ruf Porsche.
