I have an automatic climate control, which takes the 170-dollar resistor pack. I got lucky by talking with a fellow at a U pull a part salvage yard. He told me that the resistor packs for the automatic system equipped Buicks have already been picked out of his Junkers but a Cadillac unit of the same year or before would work. I found a Cadillac of the same year, 1993 and removed the blower motor resistor pack from it. the two plug ins were the same as my Buick. My old unit had a direct short across the two terminals, which let the blower run when the car was shut off. I plugged in the 10 dollar Cadillac unit and it works like champ. The Cadillac unit has a power transistor on the unit and the Buick is all black carbon, but the Cadillac worked fine! Thanks for all your help.
