I havent put a 1jz into anything yet. Its a 88' pickup short box rolling on mk4 supra wheels, so far the only person who has stuck mk4 wheels on. Whole rearend narrowed and all that jazz.
I dumped doing a 1jz, 7mgte or if i found a 2jz and bought a 03 yamaha R1 which is turning into my track bike. And this spring I will buying my roommates virgin 03' silver/gray hayabusa with 700 miles. So excited.
If I decided to do anything to that truck ill find a SR20DET and slap it in, machine the valve cover to say toyota and call it good. Crossbreeding yes? I dont care, and if you got a problem bout it, eat one :P
PS > to answer your question. IT CAN WORK. If you cant fabricate your going to pay someone a lot of cash to do it. But if you can, go for it! Be a fun project.
