Definitely go with the 2g GSX, you'll be VERY happy you did

. And for the crankwalking thing, it's much more rare than people make it out to be. Hell, my 95 GSX has 130k miles on it, and no signs or symptoms of crankwalk here!

And in the rare event that your motor does walk, drop in a 6-bolt (the 4g63 from the 90-92 dsms) and be done with it. A 6-bolt can walk, like any motor, but it has a much less chance than the 7-bolt (93-99). Have fun!!!
