The tip was to put on the foil before painting so that fine detail don't get buried in paint. When you polish the paint the BMF comes out in the open. The good thing with this method is that you don't have to be so accurate when you put on the foil as the paint covers the edges of it. You can see in my pics that I have quite a lot of foil around the small scripts and all looked just fine but it was like a walk on the high wire to polish just enough to bring out the shine and not through to the plastic. Well, well...it's just to tuck the head in and give it another go.
