if it prevents them from turning at different speeds ever, then that defeats the purpose of a differential. A real LSD allows slippage, but the clutch packs inside the differential limit it and try to keep the wheels turning at similar speeds, instead of only spinning whichever wheel has the least traction. With a closed differential it will cause premature wear on many other drivetrain parts, and the tires. Things will eventually break because of it; that is, if you ever plan on turning.
